I grew up constantly surrounded by creative influences, specifically during the early YouTube era. My interest towards creative work was primarily shaped by early 2000’s skateboard culture, architectural design, and music.
I decided to invest in a GoPro during my senior year of high school, wanting likewise to make those same videos that inspired me in my teenage years. I was instantly hooked.
Over the years, I began to better understand my purpose for camerawork. I strive to be a storyteller by nature, and the ability to freeze moments from my life and craft shareable stories through images/videos became a very moving and impactful calling for me.
Hey! Nice to meet you, I’m Matt - a lifestyle photographer and filmmaker currently based in Los Angeles. As an LA native, I draw a lot of my inspiration from the energy and vibrancy of the West Coast.
Balancing both disciplines of photo and video came from different yet similar influences: building relationships with people through photography as well a desire to explore the world around me.
When I’m not behind a camera, I’m designing digital applications as a UX Designer, skateboarding, playing the piano, slacklining, and hiking!
